FEB professor Janka Stoker to monitor realization of DNB's plans for change

20 August 2010

Together with former senior executive for Shell Jeroen van der Veer and Jean Frijns (of the corporate governance committee named after him), professor in leadership and organizational change Janka Stoker of FEB has been asked to monitor the cultural change that De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) will have to make in its supervision of banks.

Stoker, Frijns and Van der Veer will have to ensure that the plans described in the report 'From Analysis to Action' that was sent to the Tweede Kamer last week will be realized. In the report, DNB itself claims that 'supervision needs to become more thorough, more critical and most of all more persistent'. This will help avoid problems such as the DSB case in the future.

Janka Stoker, Jean Frijns and Jeroen van der Veer have been asked to become supervisors because "they distinguish themselves by a large amount of management experience and knowledge of organziational change", according to DNB.
