Mellie Pullman appointed Chair of Sustainable Supply Chain Management
We are pleased to announce that as from 1 August, 2021, Professor Mellie Pullman has been appointed as Chair of Sustainable Supply Chain Management at the Department of Operations.
In this position, Mellie will do education and research in sustainable supply chain management as well as education innovation. As part of the job, she is also the academic lead of the Teaching Academy Groningen where she already started working in March. In this role, she will develop a vision for the university on how quality and innovation in teaching can be improved, inspire lecturers and students to contribute to the teaching academy and increase the number of lecturers and courses integrating blended learning.
About Mellie Pullman
Professor Mellie Pullman has taught a wide variety of supply chain management courses at universities like Portland State University, Cornell University, London Business School, Colorado State University, Southern Methodist University, and University of Utah. Her major research interests include social impact supply chain management, sustainability and supply chain management, food and beverage supply chains, and social impact supply chain management. Furthermore, Mellie serves as associate editor or on the review board for multiple journals. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a quality manager, test manager and landscape contractor.
