About us FEB Education Admission and application Application route - Bachelor Apply for a Bachelor

Step 2: How to apply

The first step you need to take if you decide to apply is to register on Studielink. Studielink is the national database for admission to higher education in the Netherlands. From 1 October onwards, Studielink will open for new registrations.

Tip: Take a look at the application checklist before you start.

How can you apply?

Your application will consist of three steps:

  1. Studielink - You will first register online in the national online registration system, called Studielink. All Dutch higher education institutes use this same programme. Application for the upcoming academic year is possible from October onwards.
  2. Progress Portal - After you submit your application in Studielink, you will receive a message from Studielink stating that the University of Groningen (UG) has to verify your educational background through the Progress Portal (replacing the previous system, OAS, as per October 2023). This system allows you to upload digital copies of your application documents and offers you the opportunity to keep track of the progress of your application.
  3. Individual assessment - Upon submitting your application the Admissions Office will verify and assess your admissions request. In case you are eligible for entry, you need to be registered as a student. This involves providing the University with your certified proof of graduation, a photograph for your student card and payment of your tuition fee before the start of the programme.

For more information see the international application guide or go to the UG application pages.
