Events:

Halloween

While Halloween isn’t until next week, the spooky festivities linked to the holiday already start this weekend. If you love horror movies and haunted houses, the Horror Fun Party in de Drie Gezusters might be your ideal place to spend your Friday or Saturday night. The Monster March at EM2 will involve horror, blood and zombies - so if you’re into all of those things I would definitely recommend checking this event out.  If you don’t like horror but still want to celebrate Halloween, you can check out Vunzige Deuntjes Halloween edition. Want to celebrate Balkan style while still enjoying the Halloween spirit? Check out the Halloween Balkan Party in Sunny Beach this Saturday.

Plant Swap

We’ve heard of the clothing swap, the book swap - but the next up and coming event is the Plant Swap! (or so we’ve heard). Tomorrow at Lust, you can trade your plants for new ones. Tired of looking at the same plants on your shelf every day? Or realized you can’t keep a plant alive that needs to be watered daily? Swap them out for new ones!

Groninger Museum 25th anniversary

Saturday is the 25th anniversary of the Groninger Museum building! To celebrate this anniversary, the museum is free all weekend and open until 10pm, and there are extra activities like a Silent Disco, performances by POPGroningen and a Student Walk-in event between 6-10pm where fellow (arts) students can meet each other.

United Kitchen International Dinner

Sunday the October edition of the International Dinner will take place.

The October edition of the United Kitchen International Dinner will be hosted this Sunday. United Kitchen is set up by a group of 10 students, who organize multicultural dinners together with women with a migration background, and all profits go to the women to help them with their integration. A great way to have a good meal and some social interaction between UB study sessions!

Music

In need of a study break and looking for new bands to listen to? This weekend there will be three up-and-coming bands performing in VERA. Tonight you can see YAK + Cut City, Friday Vive La Fête + Herr Alt will be performing and Saturday GOLD will be at Vera. If you just want to chill with friends and enjoy live music, check out the acoustic, soul and R&B DOT Live: Sunday Sessions
