Junior Honours College Summer School

Junior Honours College is a summer school, organized specifically for talented and motivated students in 5th and 6th grade of high school, from all over The Netherlands. This unique program was set up to introduce high school students to the university, but also to broaden and develop skills. The program varies from visiting the hospital and the observatory, to visiting the Library and University College.

The program gives a small introduction to the RUG Honours College. The RUG Honours College offers the most talented and motivated students of the University of Groningen a program that focusses on broadening and deepening knowledge, and on personal and scientific skills, besides their study. In Junior Honours College, the focus is on broadening and skills. Every year, Junior Honours College takes place in a week right before Summerbreak. This year from 4 until 8 July.

Who can join?

Junior Honours College is meant for VWO-students in 5th or 6th grade with a wide interest and great motivation.

Want to apply?

Are you interested in participating in Junior Honours College? Keep an eye on the newsletter that’s coming in April/May 2016. Around that time, you’ll be able to apply again. Then, you’ll get more information about the procedures of application. We’ll ask you to send us a letter of motivation, your transcript of records and a letter of recommendation, written by one of your teachers.
