Honours Master 'Leadership: making the difference!'
In the Honours Master you can build your own programme in which you discover and further develop the leader within you. You will address complex real world problems focusing on society, public organizations, business and or academia in an interdisciplinary setting. Working with these cases will provide you with the opportunity to experience the challenges dealt with by leaders in the world of business and (semi-) public bodies and help you to learn, practice and experience the essential skills needed to become the professional you want to be.
Are you ready to take the lead?
The programme offers intensive, small-scaled teaching (maximum of 25 students per group) with a group of talented and motivated students from all disciplines. Honours students are highly encouraged to develop their own education by designing their own projects. Feedback is not only provided by the lecturers, also the feedback from fellow students is an important aspect of the programme. You will learn from each other and at the same time, be able to reflect more effectively on your own (leadership) skills.
The main aim of this programme is to offer you an experience other than in your regular degree programme. You will be addressing problems that are so complex that they need more than your already known problem-solving methods. This requires interdisciplinary collaboration and forces you to broaden your horizon and to train different (leadership) skills.
Fulfilling the programme will give you an advantage when applying for future positions. Having worked with professionals in the university, the business world, the public sector and the other students as well, you will have access to a unique and valuable network. Also have you gained more insight in your personal and professional leadership qualities that will make you more qualified for finding and acquiring your desired position or start your own business. The completed programme will be mentioned on your MA diploma supplement and you will receive a letter of recommendation.
“As an LLM student, I also participated in the parallel Honours College Leadership programme. The hands-on experience I gained there helped me grow as a student. I learned a lot throughout the programme and it provided me with excellent training for higher-level positions in academic institutions, NGOs, or governmental offices.” - Yohannes Eneyew Ayalew, LLM
