Education Honours College Bachelor's Honours Programme

Application documents

Here you can find an overview of the content of the application file:

  1. Personal data (e.g. name, student number, current BA degree programme).
  2. Your answers to questions like (1) what aspects of the programme attract you the most; (2) what could your contribution look like (e.g. group work, organizing skills, creativity ...) and; (3) can you give an example of the last time you were challenged to dive into the unknown (outside your comfort zone) and how was this rewarding for you?
  3. An overview of all results achieved to date of your Bachelor's degree programme (i.e. including the marks for examinations that you have not passed) and the number of EC.
  4. A short Curriculum Vitae.
  5. At least one personal reference by a professional expert, not a friend or a relative. Like from your former education (a teacher, study advisor or mentor). A (former) employer or someone who can tell us something about your efforts or tasks at a sport or volunteer organization. Please make sure this is specifically for this application, by elaborating on certain aspects that determine your suitability for the Bachelor's Honours Programme. If it is not possible to hand in the reference letter in English, a letter in Dutch is also acceptable. You can translate a reference letter in another foreign language into English, but combine both letters into one whole (upload one document).

Additionally, next to the obligatory reference from a qualified expert, it is allowed to ask UG staff from your faculty as a second referent, but they do not have to write a formal recommendation letter. Instead, after consulting with the involved UG staff member and only with their consent, provide us with a name and contact information so we can contact the UG staff personally.

If you have questions about the content of the application file, please contact us via honours rug.nl.
