Hertz

The hertz (Hz) is the unit of frequency (ν). It is named after the German physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz (1857 - 1894).
1 hertz (Hz) = 1 cycle / 1 second (s)
Note that activity (A) and frequency share the same unit (s-1), however activity is a stochastic quantity whereas frequency is a periodic quantity.
