Are you looking to learn Arabic or improve the basic skills you already have? At the University of Groningen Language Centre, you can take beginner’s Arabic courses at two levels. In the first course, you will get to know the Arabic script and culture and start learning basic words and phrases. The follow-up course focuses on communication in typical situations and on cultural customs in the Arab world. We teach Standard Arabic (MSA), the form that is spoken and understood across the Arab world.
