Green light for Master’s in Sustainable Entrepreneurship
The Master’s degree programme in Sustainable Entrepreneurship will start in September 2018
The new one-year Master’s degree programme in Sustainable Entrepreneurship of the University of Groningen/Campus Fryslân has gained accreditation. On this Master’s programme, students and the business world work closely together.
MSc in Sustainable Entrepreneurship
The Master’s degree programme in Sustainable Entrepreneurship (SE) is the first academic degree programme in the field of corporate social responsibility. It will introduce students to the theory and practice of how sustainable businesses operate and help them develop leadership skills in this field.
‘Students will literally learn everything about successful sustainable entrepreneurship, from leadership skills to strategy, management and policy. From day 1 they work with their own placement company and have weekly contact with them. Every course unit will be supervised by experts and sustainability coaches. Our direct collaboration with the business world translates into excellent job prospects. This makes this programme unique, and something Leeuwarden and all of Friesland can be proud of’, says Professor Gjalt de Jong, professor of sustainable entrepreneurship at Campus Fryslân and director of the new degree programme.
Centre for Sustainable Entrepreneurship
The Master’s degree programme in Sustainable Entrepreneurship is part of the Centre for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (CSE). Five PhD students work at the CSE researching various aspects of sustainable entrepreneurship. The CSE also offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to follow Masterclasses on subjects related to entrepreneurship in the sustainable sector and the circular economy.
