Campus Fryslân extends collaboration within NAOB until 2030
An important milestone for the Noordelijke Academie voor het Openbaar Bestuur (NAOB) and for Campus Fryslân. On January 13, 2026, a new covenant was signed, formally extending the collaboration within the NAOB until 2030.
On behalf of Campus Fryslân, the agreement was signed by Dean Tjalling H.F. Halbertsma. With this renewed commitment, Campus Fryslân reaffirms its long-term and structural contribution to lifelong learning for professionals and administrators working in public administration. The collaboration closely aligns with the campus’s mission to connect academic knowledge with regional and national governance challenges.

Campus Fryslân’s role within the NAOB is further strengthened by the appointment of Professor Natascha van der Zwan (Chair of Global and Local Governance) to the NAOB Programme Council. Through her expertise, she will contribute to shaping the strategic and substantive direction of the academy’s educational and professional programmes.
Together with NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences / Thorbecke Academy and the University of Groningen (Faculty of Law and Campus Fryslân), the NAOB continues to build a strong foundation for education, research, and professional development focused on contemporary and complex issues in public governance.
Campus Fryslân is proud to be part of this collaboration and to work jointly with its partners towards future-proof public administration in the Northern Netherlands.
