|When:||Mo 11-05-2020 16:30 - 17:00|
Join the online Q&A session for LLM Governance and Law in Digital Society and get the opportunity to talk to Ruark Kroon, studying GLDS at this moment, presently writing his thesis on automated decision-making in spatial planning and environmental law.
The meeting will have different rooms for different subjects, so whatever question you have, we've got you covered.You'll get to meet Ruark and you can ask questions to professor Heinrich Winter and doctor Barbara Brink.
“After my bachelor public administration, I chose the LLM Governance and
Law in Digital Society because this master bridges the gap between law
and IT with the use of courses like Supervision and Enforcement, Policy
Analysis and Governance of safety. There is not a single day that passes
by without issues we are dealing with, being at the frontpage of the
newspaper or on the TV journals. We ask the questions of tomorrow, like
‘is a Corona-app safe?’, ‘Should the police follow people online?’ And:
‘how to deal with cybercriminals?’ This is the way to learn to deal with
an ever changing world and be prepared for the questions that surely
will be asked in future. The master also looks at strategies for
realising technical innovation on fields like safety, mobility and
education. We learn how to weigh the pro’s and cons of innovations
against a legal and governmental framework.”
