Introduction Week

Start the week in a relaxed way, enjoy live music in the beautiful Prinsentuin park and get a first taste of Leeuwarden’s atmosphere.

Monday is all about officially starting your journey. You will be welcomed by the Faculty Board, meet your programme and fellow students, and receive practical information to help you feel prepared for the start of your studies.

Good to know: The introduction programme is full of new impressions. That is why we have created a Recharge Room where you can take a short break whenever you need one.

On Tuesday, you will get to know student life beyond the classroom. The day combines sports, fun and opportunities to learn more about student participation, committees and ways to become active within the Campus Fryslân community.

Wednesday helps you get into the mindset of studying at the university. You will learn more about university life and attend a lecture on pluralism, before stepping outside the classroom for a visit to Yn’e Sinne Farm, a local farm near Leeuwarden. It is a relaxed way to connect with the region, explore local sustainability and find out how to get fresh weekly vegetables.

Thursday starts with a leadership lecture for the bachelor’s students in the morning. In the evening, you can join the LEIP! Sing-a-long at Gouverneursplein, where all students of Leeuwarden come together to sing along to well-known hits played by a live band.

Friday is all about ending the intro week together in a fun and informal way. You will explore the market, enjoy outdoor activities at Stadsstrand and close the week with drinks, bites and time to relax with your new fellow students.
