Donations

Your contribution to the Shruti Giri Fund is used for activities that promote inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunities within STEM education.

With your support, the fund can, among other things:

• provide financial support to students from underrepresented groups in STEM, for example through fellowships and prizes;
• organize the annual Shruti Giri Symposium for BSc and MSc STEM students at RUG;
• support students in their academic and professional development;
• stimulate initiatives that contribute to an inclusive and accessible STEM community.

You can donate to the Shruti Giri Fund by submitting your details via the web form (coming soon) and authorizing GUF once to debit the indicated amount from your account annually.

If you prefer not to send your details online, you can also send them by post using the payment form to the Groninger Universiteitsfonds.

It is also possible to make a one-time donation to the Shruti Giri Fund, donate yearly (minimum € 25) or to become a lifetime donor for a minimum single contribution of €1,500. The payment form can also be used for this purpose. Donations by companies can lead to special agreements (e.g. the creation of a dedicated fellowship) to be negotiated with the Shruti Giri Fund board.

If you do not wish to authorize GUF, you can transfer your donation(s) directly to IBAN account NL87 INGB 0000873200 in the name of: Stichting Groninger Universiteitsfonds in Groningen, stating: ‘Donation Shruti Giri Fund’.
