We are pleased to invite you to the University of Groningen (UG) alumni meeting at Blooker, Amsterdam. You will gain insight into the latest scientific developments of the genetics of asthma from PhD candidate Nicole Dijk from the UG. She will tell you about the genetic differences of asthma in children and adults, future medicines, the predictability and the role of the gene IL1RL1 in asthma.
Next, Arno Boer, UG alumnus and Program Manager Consumer Care at Philips, and Anoushka Bold, Programme Director at Philips Foundation will explain how Philips foundation aims to impact key healthcare issues, like child pneumonia, through employee volunteering and related activities.
By attending this meeting, you will have the chance to create a network with people from your own background, hear about a PhD candidate's latest scientific results, gain insight into the charity approach of a multinational, and strengthen your bonds with the UG.
We will be serving drinks and food during the event. The ticket costs €25. Donors of the alumni circle can get a free ticket.
