Guest lecture: Feringa research group
Last year 'our' Ben Feringa won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the development of molecular machines. Who did this research, how did they do this and could we use these nanomotors as an aid medicine? Two young researchers from the Feringa research group, Erik Pinxterhuis and Paco Visser, explained this during a partly interactive lecture. Furthermore, there was plenty of room to strengthen old connections, or to make new contacts with fellow alumni.
We asked non-members / non-donors a contribution of € 25, - as a contribution towards the costs. This included drinks and dinner.
