We will be sustainable in 2030! That may sound good, but it takes a lot to realize these ambitions. What does a village, town, city or municipality require if it has a sustainability or energy goal? Prof. Bert Scholtens is coordinating a study in which local energy initiatives play an important role.

Veni-grants for ten researchers
The Dutch Research Council (NWO) has awarded a Veni grant of up to €320,000 each to ten researchers of the University of Groningen and the UMCG. The Veni grants are designed for outstanding researchers who have recently gained a PhD.
