Stevin Prize for Linda Steg

Professor Linda Steg has been awarded the NWO Stevin Prize. Professor Steg is a pioneer and world leader in the field of environmental psychology and is a professor at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. The Stevin Prize is one of the most prominent awards in the world of science in the Netherlands. Professor Steg will receive € 2.5 million to use in scientific research.

Professor Steg aims to work with colleagues and research partners both from the world of academia and beyond and to use the Stevin Prize to integrate knowledge about people’s motivations and behaviours into climate models. Her goal is to develop realistic scenarios for combatting climate change that have sufficient public support.
