Volunteers Green Growth
The Green Office Groningen coordinates and initiates sustainability-related projects at the University of Groningen. We inform staff members and students and encourage them to live more sustainably. Our goal is to make sustainability an integral part of the University of Groningen.
For our Green Growth course we are looking for 3 volunteers. This is an interdisciplinary course where students and staff from the UG learn about sustainability in practice. Will you help us make this course a success? We have the following vacancies on offer:
Secretary
Tasks:
- Responsible for agenda and minutes at meetings
- Schedule appointments
- Arranging speakers and excursions
- Support and attendance during the course (setting up the room, introducing speakers, etc.)
Promotion
Tasks:
- Responsible for the promotion of the course (in collaboration with the Green Office coordinator)
- Arranging speakers and excursions
- Support and attendance during the course (setting up the room, introducing speakers, etc.)
Facility
Tasks:
- Responsible for organizational and logistical activities (reserving rooms and cameras, keeping Nestor page up-to-date, communication with participants, etc.)
- Arranging speakers and excursions

What we offer you
The opportunity to develop yourself on different levels. You will learn the basics of project-based work and be given the opportunity to build up a network.
The position is for the duration of 10 months, approximately 2-3 hours per week. During the course (Sept - Nov) we expect you to be available for a few more hours per week.
