EQUIPPING: Inclusive Teaching in Diverse Classrooms
Join us for one or more of the three modules of the EQUiiP Continuing Professional Development programme. The modules are organised in an interactive workshop format in which participants are invited to bring and share their teaching practices. You can either register for one or more modules, which can be taken in any order. There is an option to obtain a Proof of Competence certification if more modules are taken. The target audience for these sessions are teachers and educational developers interested in building on their inclusive (teaching) practices in diverse classrooms (e.g. ethnicity, first generation student, neurodiversity, etc.). In this module, you will reflect on the role of language diversity in the multilingual/diverse classroom and discuss teaching strategies that support learning in such an environment. The aim of this module is to consider the impact of classroom language (Dutch, English, etc.) when taking into account the diversity of students’ and teachers’ first languages and backgrounds, as well as see how we can use this multilingualism in the classroom as a resource. For more information on the module content, please watch this short video and/or read the thematic text.

Module 'Inclusive Assessment', 20 March, 09:00 - 12:00
In this module, you will discuss some ideas about how we can ensure that all students have the possibility to demonstrate their achievements in the scope of the intended learning outcomes and provide evidence of their learning progress. Although it is not possible to meet each student’s needs, there are possible adaptations we can make that will benefit a broader group of students and contribute to an inclusive learning environment. This is a new module complementing the other 4 Equipping modules.
These modules are organised by Equipping at the Teaching Academy Groningen (TAG).
