Our guest on this episode is Martijn Wieling, Professor by special appointment of Low Saxon / Groningen Language and Culture. Wim Brons and Hanna van Loo talk to him about the use and preservation of regional languages in our digital age. Among other things, Martijn discusses the "Proaten" project, through which he is developing speech technology for Low Saxon, and the Spraaklab, a mobile laboratory, which he uses to conduct research into regional languages at festivals.
