My research is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach to improve the classification of psychiatric disorders, in particular of major depression, using insights from clinical psychiatry, statistics, epidemiology, genetics, and philosophy of science. My main areas of expertise include major depressive disorder, psychiatric disease classification and statistical modeling, psychiatric genetics, and comorbidity.
