Ice rain: buildings closed on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning

Ice rain is forecast for Tuesday 3 February and Wednesday 4 February. As a result, some public transport services in Groningen and Drenthe will not be running. To enable everyone to get home safely, all University of Groningen buildings will close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday 3 February. On Wednesday 4 February, the buildings will open at 10:30 a.m. so that scheduled academic ceremonies can take place. These adjusted times also apply to the University Library and the Sports Centre.

The Medicine resit exam scheduled for this evening has been canceled.

Partial online teaching and advice to work from home

The lecturer will decide whether teaching will continue online. Keep an eye on the messages from your lecturer. Tips for lecturers on online teaching can be found in this message (only visible to staff). Staff will work from home as long as the buildings are closed.
