Science on Wednesday: Where art and neuroscience meet

06 March 2025

If neuroscience were a work of art, what would it look like? Science on Wednesday is here to show you! In this unique project, students from the Minerva Art Academy have created illustrations based on scientific findings from brain researchers at the UG and UMCG. Every Wednesday, a fascinating fact about the brain is shared on the social media channels combined with an artwork that offers a fresh and artistic perspective on scientific discoveries. Through this project, we want to introduce a wide audience to the brain research that takes place in Groningen.

Can’t wait to see all the artworks? All Science on Wednesday artworks can be admired until 4 January 2026 as part of the Brainstorm: The Human Brain & Research exhibition at the University Museum Groningen In addition to the artworks, the exhibition provides information about brain research in the past and present.
