Relinde Weil reappointed as a member of the Supervisory Board UG

The Minister of Education has reappointed Relinde Weil for a second term as a member of the Supervisory Board of the University of Groningen. Weil has served on the Supervisory Board since June 2021. Her second term will run from 1 June, 2025 to 31 May 31, 2029. She is also a member of the Audit Committee for Finance.

Relinde Weil (born 1968) studied Business Administration at the University of Groningen and completed the Postgraduate Controller program at VU Amsterdam. She began her career at the Dutch Railways before moving to McKinsey. As a consultant and later Engagement Manager, she worked primarily in the financial and energy sectors. She also led projects in the dairy industry and collaborated with various startups.

In 2001, she transitioned to Nike EMEA, where she held several positions over the years, including Finance and Strategy Director for Golf, Football, and Running. Driven by a desire to make a greater social impact, she left Nike for a role in healthcare. She held executive positions in elderly and disability care, including as a board member at Amsta in Amsterdam. From 2016 to 2023, she was Chair of the Executive Board at St Jansdal Hospital, where she oversaw the relaunch of the bankrupt hospital in Lelystad. Since March 2023, she has been Chair of the Executive Board at the Jeroen Bosch Hospital.
