In her inaugural lecture, Prof. Amalia Dolga introduces regenerative neuropharmacology, a field that uses molecules to protect and renew the ageing brain. Using stem-cell models of the human brain, she argues that targeting mitochondrial function and the main immune brain cells, microglia could become key strategies for healthy ageing.
