Are you keen to experience the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme? Could you dedicate up to 2 or 3 hours per week for a period of 4 weeks? Then join the Liberal Arts and Sciences Webclass!
In our Webclass, you will learn to combine and integrate knowledge from different disciplines and methodologies and you will also be trained to use your creativity and discover different ways of thinking. Together, these skills and insights will prepare you to find innovative solutions for the challenges of our time.
We will give you a taste of our interdisciplinary programme by covering the following topics: Climate Change, Genetics, Intercultural Competencies, and Human Rights.
My name is Melvin and I will be your tutor for this Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) web class. I have graduated from LAS at University College Groningen in the class of 2020. I really enjoyed my time at UCG and I hope I can share my excitement and experiences with you. In my time at UCG I have followed courses within the Health and Life Sciences and in (inter-) national criminal law. I really enjoyed being able to combine both these topics, because I like to look at the interdisciplinary aspects of challenges and problems. In my years of studying LAS I have worked as a photographer and I have created social media content for our faculty. I was also an active member in our study association Caerus where I organized trips abroad, Christmas fair visits and I photographed social events organized by our social committee.
I will try my absolute best to make everything on Nestor as clear as possible. However, if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org . I will reply to your emails as soon as possible.
I look forward to meeting all of you, and I hope we will have 4 interesting weeks together!
