Are you keen to experience the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme? Could you dedicate up to 2 or 3 hours per week for a period of 4 weeks? Then join the Liberal Arts and Sciences web class!

In our web class, you will learn to combine and integrate knowledge from different disciplines and methodologies and you will also be trained to use your creativity and discover different ways of thinking. Together, these skills and insights will prepare you to find innovative solutions for the challenges of our time.

We will give you a taste of our interdisciplinary programme by covering the following topics: Climate Change, Genetics, Intercultural Competencies, Social Psychology, Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights.

The next round of weclassess will start in the next academic year.

Hey there!

I'm Chris (she/they), your Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) web class tutor. Currently, I'm in my second year of this amazing Liberal Arts and Sciences programme, following a free major. This means that I can take courses in the Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities although I must confess that my main interest appears to be in the subjects about culture, art, and interdisciplinarity.

For this reason, I am also active in our across-the-board study association Caerus. I am active in the sustainability and plants committee (GROWningen), the music committee (MUCG), and the PR and media committee (Pixel). This brought me opportunities like performing on the Libertas terrace, recycling tons of plastic bottles, and knowing so much more about photography.

I will do my very best to turn all this LAS experience, knowledge, and excitement into an enriching four weeks that will be worth your time.
