Come and learn more about human rights activism with the speakers Babloo Loitongbam and Madi Jobarteh in the Learning Landscape on the 29th of March.

Babloo is a human rights defender (HRD) on the front-lines of fight against Armed Forces Special Powers Act in North-East of India. He has been risking his life to documented 1528 cases of extra-judicial killings by Indian Armed forces in areas where "Shoot to kill" orders have been in place.

Madi is a HRD from The Gambia. For over 20 years he has worked on promoting democracy and human rights in The Gambia. He is one of the foremost voices in the country advocating for more transparency and accountability in the public sector. Madi has worked extensively with women, young people, persons with disability and people living with HIV/AIDS in promotion of human rights.
