Flash Back: Open Day 29 January 2016
On January the 29th, we hosted another Open Day at University College Groningen. There were more than 250 interested students who wanted to know more about the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme at UCG. All sessions started with a presentation from the dean welcoming them to University College Groningen and explaining what makes the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme at UCG so unique. After that, the students were welcome to attend presentations on all the majors that we offer or take place in an interdisciplinary workshop. To top it off, each session closed with a tour to the UCG campus. Needless to say, many of our current students were present to answer any and all questions, such as whether it is possible to apply for more than one University College in the Netherlands (yes it is! Though as a University College we are a selective programme we do not work according to the numerus fixus principle, meaning you can apply for multiple UC's). With some fantastic feedback from the attendees on the informative yet informal atmosphere here at University College Groningen, we call this day a great success.
Have a look on our website here to view the presentations on all the majors from the Open Day as well as pictures and to get a general impression of the Open Day.
