Zhang Conglin conducts extensive research in the realms of sustainable development and ecological civilization. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role as either the lead or a core contributor in over 50 research endeavors (with direct responsibility for around 36 projects). He boasts an impressive academic record, having published over 70 scholarly articles, with nearly 50 as the first or corresponding author, many of which have been reprinted in influential publications such as the People's University Reprint Journal. His expertise extends to think tank research, where he has authored more than 40 consultative reports. These reports have garnered significant attention, earning important endorsements from the CPC Central Committee and national leaders multiple times, and several have been adopted by the central leadership of democratic parties.
