W.A.J. (Willeke) Norder, MSc

I work as a PhD candidate on the research project "Zwangerschap en geboorte - vrouwen aan het woord" (Pregnancy and birth - The women's voice). The project is a collaboration between the Groningen and Amsterdam branches of the departments of Midwifery Science at the UMCG and VUmc, PratenOverGezondheid ("Health Talk"; UMCG) and the Childbirth Network (VUmc). I work at the department of family practice at the UMCG and at the AVAG (Academie Verloskunde Amsterdam, Groningen - the Academy for Midwifery).
The project aims to collect experiences of women with pregnancy and childbirth in the Netherlands through qualitative narrative interviews. To do so, a methodology as developed by the Health Experiences Research Group at the University of Oxford is followed. A selection of the interviews - in written, video, or audio format - will be published on an online platform as information resource for other (pregnant) women and their families.
