Dr. Lee is a sociologist interested in social inequalities. Her expertise is in global labour migration, racial hierarchies, class, work, and gender. She is currently working on a project that examines digital platform workers and the gig economy in South Korea and the Netherlands. Her research has involved long-term ethnographic research in Korean factories with migrant workers, survey-based research about racial stereotypes in Dutch high schools, and interviews with delivery drivers.
