I am a researcher in the Falcao Salles lab on a large European project - potatoMetabiome. The aim of this project is to identify potato genotypes that interact effectively with the soil microbiome – generating cultivars that have reduced dependencies on external inputs while maintaining high yields.
I am also a co-PI on a USGS-funded project examining belowground mutualists to improve pollinator habitats with collaborators at the University of Minnesota, University of North Dakota and USGS. Additionally, I am a collaborator on a project in the US, examining the potential use of AM fungi to control weeds in agriculture.
