I am interested in speciation (how species form) and work at the interface between microevolutionary theory (what are the mechanisms within populations that promote divergence?) and macroevolutionary theory (what explains the long-term patterns of clade diversification?), with a particular focus on understanding macroevolution in terms of microevolutionary dynamics.
