dr. ir. P. (Paul) Buijs

Paul Buijs is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Operations (University of Groningen, the Netherlands). He received his MSc degree in Industrial Engineering and Management (2010) and PhD degree (2014) from that same university. Paul studies innovations that aim to improve the sustainability of the logistics sector, particularly in the context of urban freight transport. He seeks to understand how these innovative solutions can work by being actively involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of such solutions.

Paul co-authored several papers in journals such as Supply Chain Management: an International Journal, Omega, Case Studies on Transport Policy, the European Journal for Operational Research, Transportation Research Part D and Part E, Flexible Services and Manufacturing, Business Strategy and the Environment, the International Journal of Operations & Production Management, the Journal of Business Logistics, and Interfaces.
