Reseach

While extensive business cycle research predominantly contrasts between economic expansions and contractions, my dissertation is projected to shed light on dynamics within business cycle, a perspective commonly neglected by prior studies. In my dissertation, I seek to validate the presence of marketing dynamics within business cycle from both the brand and consumer perspectives: the first project focuses on dynamics and the interplay of traditional marketing-mix elements within the business cycle, the second emphasizes (un)healthy food consumption evolvement along the business cycle, and the last delves into household expenditures reallocation in response to economic conditions. The state-space modeling framework is utilized for deriving brand/household-specific time-varying parameters, combined with sophisticated endogeneity solutions.
