M.V. (Milena) Nikolova, Prof

Milena Nikolova is a Full Professor of the Economics of Well-being. She is also an Editor of the Journal of Population Economics, a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA), a Nonresident Fellow at the Brookings Institution and Bruegel, and a Fellow at GLO.
Nikolova is an expert in the economics of happiness. Her research currently centers on the consequences of technological change for labor markets and well-being.
Milena holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park (2014).
IDEAS/RePEc ranks Nikolova in the top 1.4% of female economists and the top 2.7% of all economists worldwide. The ESB Economenparade 2025 lists her among the 25 best-publishing female economists in the Netherlands.
