Below are some of the projects I am currently working on:

- Donation dynamics: Understanding and stimulating long-term charitable giving: Together with Dr. Hans Risselada and Dr. Roelof Hars, and in collaboration with DataInside, we are working on a better understanding of charitable giving. Received a FEB acceleration grant to start up this collaboration. See https://www.rug.nl/feb/research/frn/blog/enhancing-data-driven-decision-making-for-dutch-charity-organizations?lang=en Per September 2025, a PhD student will start on this project.

- Sustainable fashion: How to lower the waste from discarded textiles? This research is part of a large consortium including Sympany, Demcon, several municipalities, UG, de Hanze and many more. The aim is to improve textile waste processes and to decrease overall fashion consumption.

- Sustainable fashion: Finding alternative material for textile industry. For this research Marijke and Marleen Kamperman received the Gratama jubileum gift (100.000 euro). See https://www.rug.nl/about-ug/latest-news/news/archief2025/nieuwsberichten/0520-kampermanleliveld
