Expertise
General adult cardiac surgery. Specific interest in minimally invasive techniques, valve-sparing surgery, complex aortic surgery, rhythm surgery and thoracic transplantations (heart, lung and heart-lung). Main research field are the developement of new surgical tools, in collaboration with TU Twente and mechatronic companies, and pre-habilitation program for cardiac surgery. Founder of the pre-habilitation program in Beatrixoord and PI of the related the Heart-ROCQ study.
