Expertise
General adult cardiac surgery. Specific interest in minimally invasive techniques, valve-sparing surgery, complex aortic surgery, rhythm surgery and thoracic transplantations (heart, lung and heart-lung). Main research field are the developement of new surgical tools, in collaboration with TU Twente and mechatronic companies, and pre-habilitation program for cardiac surgery. Founder of the pre-habilitation program in Beatrixoord and PI of the related the Heart-ROCQ study.

- Consultant (theoretical and practical training activities and developement of new technologies) for Artivion, Atricure, CorCym, Medtronic. Grants from Abbott, Atricure, Getinge, Edwards, St. Beatrixoord.
