I am a PhD researcher working at the intersection of energy resilience, socio-technical transitions, and community-centered sustainability. My work examines how communities experience and respond to energy disruptions, with a particular focus on the socio-economic impacts of energy insecurity and the role of locally embedded energy systems such as microgrids and renewable energy communities.
My expertise lies in energy transition projects in geopolitically complex regions of the Eastern Mediterranean, with a particular focus on energy communities and locally embedded energy systems. I examine how these initiatives emerge and operate within the infrastructural geopolitics of energy, where pipelines, electricity grids, interconnectors, and renewable energy systems actively shape regional dependencies, governance arrangements, and political relations.
