mr. L.M. (Malin) Andreasson, Dr

Liv Malin Andreasson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen. Her research focuses on the legal aspects of the energy transition, particularly offshore energy system integration, offshore wind energy and emerging energy storage and transport solutions in the North Sea.
She completed her PhD at the Groningen Centre of Energy Law and Sustainability, examining the legal aspects of large-scale offshore wind energy developments, as well as new offshore energy storage and transport alternatives. Her PhD research was funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) as part of the PhD@Sea programme, 'Developing Offshore Storage and Transport Alternatives' (DOSTA).
Prior to her PhD, Liv Malin worked as a researcher at the Groningen Centre of Energy Law and Sustainability. She contributed legal research to the North Sea Energy project and the Havenschets project, focusing on the planning, production, transport, and supply of renewable hydrogen in the North Sea region and Dutch port areas.
Liv Malin holds an LL.M. in International and European Law from the University of Gothenburg (2017) and an LL.M. in Energy and Climate Law from the University of Groningen (2018).
She currently conducts research on the integration of offshore energy systems and teaches EU energy and climate law in the University's bachelor's and master's programmes.
