dr. K.A. (Klaske) Glashouwer

In 2007, I came to the University of Groningen attracted by the opportunity to practice the unique combination of PhD research and clinical training within one position. In February 2012, I acquired the certificate for healthcare psychologist (GZ-psycholoog) and a few months later, I received my doctorate degree in experimental psychopathology cum laude. In December 2014, I acquired the certificate for CBT-Therapist.

After my doctorate about automatic cognitive processes in anxiety and depression, I chose to continue working as researcher at the University of Groningen and as scientist-practitioner at the Centre for Eating Disorders of Accare. This combination of workplaces forms the ideal base for my current research in which I want to increase understanding of Anorexia Nervosa in order to improve its treatments.
