J.L. (Josh) Prada, Dr

My teaching background covers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, language (in) education, as well as Spanish for heritage speakers, and English as a second language. Prior to joining Groningen, I taught courses focusing on these areas at Indiana University (Indianapolis) and, prior to that, at Texas Tech University. Between 2018 and 2023 I was International Professor of Heritage Language Education at Rovira i Virgili University's Centro de Estudios Hispánicos.

I also supervise BA and MA theses on topics related to the educational, social, and psychological aspects of multilingualism, and work with students seeking to adopt critical and transdiciplinary approaches to the study of multilingualism in education and in society, and direct PhD students as part of my Research Group (Minoritised Multilingualisms).
