I.M.E. (Irene) Douwes-van Ark

I have a background in pedagogical sciences and international relations (University of Utrecht and Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Spain). 

Since January 2019, I work as an Educational Developer at the University of Groningen. I started my PhD-trajectory in December 2021 at the faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. My main area of research is the professional development of university teachers, with a special interest in teachers' self-efficacy beliefs and their skills for student engagement.
