G. (Gunnar) Mallon, Dr
Assistant Professor of Geospatial AI

Field/Discipline
Expertise
My research focuses on developing agentic AI architectures that can independently search heterogeneous spatial datasets (satellite, social media, …) and iteratively form geographic hypotheses. The central question is what kinds of geographic knowledge an autonomous agentic AI can generate and where its limits lie. I am also interested in the intersection of AI and phenomenology of place.
