prof. dr. G.B. Huitema
George Huitema is Professor of Telematics (Telecommunication and Information Services) at the University of Groningen and Senior Scientist at TNO (Technical Sciences). After receiving a PhD Degree in mathematics also from the University of Groningen in 1988 he joined KPN Research (TNO, since January 2003). From 2001 Huitema has a position at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen where he is also Fellow of the SOM research school.
His area of interest include billing and customer care. At present Huitema develops strategic billing guidelines in the domain of telecommunications, road pricing and smart energy systems. He is member of the Revenue Management Initiative of the Telemanagement Forum (formerly the Global Billing Association) and a regular speaker on international conferences.
