Ongoing projects
TAP Social Innovation: In this joint project I work together with researchers from Queen's University (Canada), the University of Wuppertal (Germany), and Oxfam (UK) to provide insights that help spreading social innovations. This 3 year project, funded by NWO as part of the Trans-Atlantic Platform collaboration, focuses especially on the difficulties to scale social innovation and how collaborative approaches may help to overcome barriers to adopt novel solutions.
PASSPARTOOL: Together with Thijs Broekhuizen and Erzsi Meerstra-de Haan I participate as a knowledge partner in the PASSPARTOOL project, which is led by L'agorà dell'innovazione in Puglia (ARTI), Bari, Italy. The 30-month project aims to stimulate social innovaiton and introduce assessment and monitoring tools. Click here for an interview about the background.
The rise of solo self-employment: Jointly with Evelien Croonen, I study in this project the increasingly important group of solo self-employed. With support from the Groningen University Fund (GUF) we study the conseques of the tremendous increase of this type of employment, with a focus on well-being and inequality.
