Research interests

Experienced and internationally mobile researcher engaged with policy, practice and academia. Expert in economic geography and management science, and skilled at public speaking, writing, project management, organizational leadership, supervision, and both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Much of my research investigates the relationship between organizations and their environment. Though my research topics are ever-evolving, I have specialized in the following:

- Clustering effects on incumbent organizations;
- How geographic, network, and institutional arrangements can affect organizations' innovative capacity;
- How organization-internal characteristics (such as manager experience and resource strength) can moderate the effects of these arrangements;
- How (business) networks are best governed.
