D.M. (Dagmar) Heeg

In 2018 I received my BSc in Mathematics and BA in the Dutch Language. In 2018 I started a MSc degree in Science Education and Communication and graduated cum laude in 2020.
During my MSc degree I contributed to various Erasmus+ projects such as UMARG and STEAMitUP. UMARG is a new Erasmus + project that explores the educational opportunities of Mobile Augmented Reality Games (MARG) in developing digital and civic competences of students through learning about sustainable development. STEAMitUP is a 2 year EU-Erasmus+ project that aims to contribute to the advancement of STEAM in school education and raise awareness on the importance of the development of 21st century skills.
Since January 2021 I am a PhD student at the Institute of Science Education and Communication (ISEC) at the University of Groningen. During my PhD I examine how to develop the general public's AI literacy through school curricula and public engagement activities such as workshops (AI & Ethics, Critical use of ChatGPT) and exhibits (the world through the eyes of AI).
